Chewy.com Distribution Agreement

Take Me Home Pet Rescue is committed to helping other nonprofits and individuals in the Dallas area by sharing the Chewy.com donations with other organizations in need.

Please read the following information before submitting a request form to receive these donations.

Per Chewy.com requirements, these products are not to be sold.

Pick up is between 1 PM – 3:30 PM on Friday. Due to the high demand for this food, organizations will be placed on a rotation based on the need of the rescue, availability of food requested, number of rescues requesting food, and the availability for pick up. All donated products must be picked up by your organization no later than 5PM the Friday of your pick up date, as unfortunately TMHPR does not have the physical space to hold your donations.

Donations will be sorted prior to pick up. Please be mindful that several other organizations will be picking up food the same day as you so donations of the same food will be shared. Prior to picking up your food, your representatives will consult with the TMHPR representative in charge of distribution of the donations.

Keep in mind that we never know ahead of time what products will be donated on any given pick up date and the products vary from week to week. The volunteers of TMHPR will work hard to be sure you receive as much of the food as possible out of what is donated that week. If other groups are requesting the same type/brand of food, TMHPR will divide the donations so that may benefit. We will do our best to assign rescues to weeks without similar requests.

How you can help:

It’s such a privilege to receive this donation from Chewy.com but TMHPR does incur costs associated with this outreach project. Each week, we rent a truck that averages $130 and sponsor lunch for 15 volunteers who load and unload the donations for several hours. We need to help offset these costs through donations or sponsorships. TMHPR is requesting a donation at the time of pick up to help cover these costs. Donations can be made in cash, check, or credit card or PayPal via our website.

Ideally, we would like to secure a sponsor for each week’s pick up. If you or anyone you know is interested in sponsoring either the truck or lunch for our volunteers, please fill out this form. Sponsors will receive acknowledgement in our weekly blogs, newsletters, website, and Facebook page thanking them for the donation.
